Again, real life has taken over the past few weeks. I sadly haven't had time nor the want to play WoW at the moment. It's quite sad when I hit a dip in playing, and usually I miss out on a once in a lifetime pet, I'll always be mad that I missed out on the Vampiric Batling. Inbetween work, planning my wedding next year, getting settled in our new place, and that I got DOS box working, the constant desire to play Theme Hospital has replaced my WoW addiction.

It doesn't help that I've seen snippets of news on Facebook concerning Warlords of Draenor, and was extremely put off with the instant boost to 90 they are looking to charge people. It really angered me to the point of Blizzard disregarding the older expansions. So you make people buy them to have to install enough expansions to get to the newest one, yet your boost to 90 offer completely ignores those expansions you paid for...what!? I really hope I've missed another piece of news stating that you don't need those expansions anymore, but I highly doubt it. I really couldn't get my head around it.

Some news I did like the look of was that the Diablo 3: RoS Collectors edition Treasure Goblin is available in game, so will have to log in at some point to have a spy at him. Also loving the new Diablo 3 patch, with the exp and loot increase running up till RoS hits us on the 25th March. Currently waiting for the patch to download before I can play my Demon Hunter again, and finally get some loot without farming for weeks. Loved that in the PS3 version, so extremely excited to see that the PC version is revamped and kicking some ass once again.

If I don't post for a while, again, then apologies in advance, and happy gaming!

Another epic story and the first time I teleported up to his throne was goosebump inducing! That race to get him to 10% health was immense and I remember the shouts and screams over vent when we finally did it. I had avoided watching the cinematic until we killed him also, so that was a great bonus. We (me and my bf) head back to ICC every week for the hope that Invincible will soon be ours to command!

The old gods lore has always intrigued me. Ulduar is a WotLK raid, and of course when you hear that you think of Icecrown Citadel and killing the Lich King and you know your going to get there eventually. With Ulduar, it was something that was silently brewing for a long time, and that something was Yoggsaron. The build up through the quest zones was great, especially when you would get whispered by Yoggy and just the mention of him was enough to terrify. I personally find Yoggy a more terrifying aspect than the Lich King rising the dead up against you. The not knowing is what creeps me out with Yoggy, and him patiently waiting underground for his time to strike. We are currently running Ulduar weekly for the chance at getting the Mimiron's Head mount.

Algalon

The thing that I remember the most about Algalon is that this fight gave many many people graphic problems with the lovely sparkly shiney 'warp speed' animation when you first speak to him to start the fight. He is such a great boss, and I think the fact that he was only accessable when you got the key made from doing hardmodes, people would definately do an irl /flex for having the achievement.

Onyxia

Classic raid, with a teeny amount of trash, one of the perks of course! Back in the day when she was spying in Stormwind was an amazing storyline! Loved her come back in Blackwing Descent, looking a bit shabby, but I would take that look if I had come back from the dead as much as she has.

I struggled to find a typically punk theme, and instead, have opted to go with a steampunk look. I wanted to capture the use of gold/bronze coloured weapons and also quite traditional, old fashioned dress and I think I've managed it!

For this set I used:

Noble's Monocle
Shadow Council Tunic
Black Tuxedo Pants
Seer's Boots
Solid Iron Maul
Blood Rage Bracers <-- was pure coincidence that the bracers I am currently wearing are bronze and quite styled to fit this look!

Total outfit cost: 2176g (ouch!) Blame the monocle.

Overall I'm quite pleased with the look, I would have probably changed my weapon to using a gun or some sort, if I could actually wield them to begin with, but nevermind! Its not typically what I had planned for this 'Punk' post, but it all fits together nicely.

The next theme is 'Geek'

I have played WoW from Vanilla and Deathknights did not appear as playable characters till Wrath of the Lich King, but their presence was there in the Warcraft universe way before World of Warcraft existed, so it was only a matter of time before we would get to play as them. A lot of interaction through questing, pin pointed key names and the faction standing against the scourge, the Argent Dawn. Quite frankly its quite confusing to keep up with who did what where, but I personally remember Kel'thuzad being the main name to stand out, alongside the Lich King of course. I knew he was one of the Lich Kings top agents, but since doing my research for this post, he pretty much ruined Azeroth and changed everything.

We got a great history lesson throughout these quests, involving many different families and people who were slowly corrupted and/or destroyed. Alexandros Mograine of the Argent Dawn and his sons Renault and Darion were definitely the core of the story, and WoWWiki have it written so perfectly;

'During the assault on Blackrock Spire in the Second War, Mograine of the Silver Hand
witnessed an orcish warlock channeling magic through a dark orb. After
the warlock's death, Mograine went to claim it for the Alliance, but his
hand was badly mangled as soon as he touched it. Though describing the
orb as the "living embodiment of shadow," he was still curious as to
what power it might hold and kept it in an iron chest.

Mograine kept the orb a secret until the Scourge reached Lordaeron. He revealed it to several other members of the Silver Hand, suggesting that they search for the orb's polar opposite - a manifestation of the Light
itself - to be used against the impending undead holocaust. Mograine's
peers, appalled at the sight of this dark crystal, attempted to destroy
it with a holy spell. Unexpectedly, the crystal absorbed the spell and
became its antithesis, the very crystal of pure light that Mograine
suggested moments before, and even restored life to his mangled hand. It
was decided that from this crystal a weapon would be forged that would
smite the undead with such power that only a cloud of ash would remain
in its wake—The Ashbringer.
Under the command of Saidan Dathrohan, Mograine and Fairbanks traveled to Ironforge to ask King Magni Bronzebeard to forge the mighty blade. Magni, having only just learned of his brother's
apparent demise, was more than willing to craft a weapon to battle the
undead, and described it as the greatest creation wrought by his hand.

Mograine and the other former Knights of the Silver Hand banded together to continue the war against the Lich King.
Alexandros was appointed Highlord and the Ashbringer was the Order's
greatest weapon. However, the blade caught the attention of Kel'Thuzad. Striking a deal with Balnazzar,
who had covertly taken control of the Order by possessing Dathrohan and
wished to use it against the Lich King, the two planned to kill him. To
do so, Balnazzar corrupted Mograine's son Renault and had him lead his father into a trap. Renault led his father and High Inquisitor Fairbanks to Stratholme
where an army of undead waited for them. Renault fled and Fairbanks,
being the first to fall, was trapped under the pile of undead corpses.
Mograine stood alone against the undead, yet managed to destroy all sent
at him. In fatigue, Alexandros dropped his blade. Renault returned and
killed Mograine with his own sword, corrupting the Ashbringer. Unable to use the blade, Renault left it with his father's corpse.

However, Kel'Thuzad raised the Ashbringer's corpse turning him into a death knight of the Scourge, and reclaimed his blade. Kel'Thuzad took Mograine back to Naxxramas to have him serve as one of the Four Horsemen. Later, led by nightmares of his father's tortured soul, Darion led a small group of Argent Dawn members into Naxxramas
to free him. Darion was the only one to survive the assault, escaping
with the blade but forced to leave his father's body behind.

When Darion returned to the Scarlet Monastery with the blade,
Alexandros's corrupted spirit manifested and confronted Renault,
accusing him of murder before mercilessly killing him. Later, during a
Scourge assault on Light's Hope Chapel,
Darion plunged the Ashbringer into his own chest in an act of
self-sacrifice that obliterated the Scourge armies and seemingly freed
Alexandros's soul of the Scourge's corruption. In doing so, however,
Darion damned himself into undeath and was escorted off the battlefield
by Kel'Thuzad.'

The Argent Dawn quests in Eastern Plaguelands were a great stepping
stone to set the scene and ultimately we would be lead to Naxxramas, for the first time in game.
Sadly I didn't raid in vanilla so I never got to experience it back
then. The main attraction, if you want to call it that, was to be an owner of the Corrupted Ashbringer sword, which was eventually removed from the game. Owners of it got to experience a special in game event when you would enter Scarlet Monastery, showing Alexandros get his revenge upon Renault. When Naxxramas re-appeared for WotLK I was pleased to see they didn't re-instate the ability to get it as it would lessen the importance of it.

Darion made his re-appearance as a high lord at Ebon Hold, the DK starting area. The zone is extremely well planned out, having familiar faces teach you the ways of being the perfect Deathknight.

As you quest through the zone, and kill many many people, the ultimate quest, the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel, is where the Deathknights, led by Darion still wielding the Corrupted Ashbringer, march upon Light's Hope Chapel and Tirion Fordring. The Deathknights are no match and are defeated on the holy ground which the chapel stands. Alexandros suddenly appears to Darion, as a flash back. Arthas then appears and claims his soul. Defeated, Darion then learns from Tirion of his betrayal by Arthas, sending them in to purposely die. Arthas attacks Tirion, which forces Darion to break his bonds to the Lich Kings service and throws the Corrupted Ashbringer for Tirion to push Arthas back. Shocked by this, Arthas escapes (of course!) and we see Tirion join the Knights of the Silver Hand and Argent Dawn to create the Argent Crusade. Darion leads his Knights of the Ebon Blade to assist in the destruction of the Lich King and the scourge and for to create a place for the renegade Deathknights to call home. I found a fantastic WoW Machinima of The Battle for Light's Hope Chapel, please check it out!

We, the newly freed Deathknights, are now free to go about our business as any other class would, not before we get pelted with old food when we walk through Orgrimmar/Stormwind for the first time though!

It must have taken so long for the developers to weave all of this lore together and to create the start up zone to perfection, sure the story was there, but a lot of people know the lore inside out so any incorrect points would have shattered the experience for players.

I've really learnt a lot from doing this research, I knew the general points of the story, but it feels nice to increase my understanding of the history involved with the development of my character.

Huge thanks and credit to WoWWiki for this post!

I am quite a competitive person, and when Warcraftpets tell me I am 7th on my server for my pet collection, I refuse to accept! I took a good long look at which pets I needed and which I could get my hands on as soon as possible and thankfully I have added another 3 to my collection since yesterday.

I completely missed the Christmas event this year so couldn't pick up my own Rotten Helper. A friend from my old guild traded me one in exchange for a lend of some of my cat pets to help him get his crazy cat man title.

I also totally missed the introduction of the in game blizzard store so when I discovered that and saw the Alterac brew pup was available, my mouse malfunctioned and accidentally bought one.

My third and final pet comes from hours of reacquainting myself with the Celestial Tournament and the lack of my little battle note book (currently on my old desk at home!). I could not remember which pets I used for which trainers, so that took some time and the patience of a saint.. but I was rewarded with Xu-fu! I only need Yu'la to complete my celestial pet set now!

I have noticed the EU store is back up and running for actual items
again, which means the Gryphon and Wyvern plushies are available. I
must resist these though, they are quite pricey, so definitely have to
join the 'to buy some time soon' pile along with the new D3 expansion
landing in March. I must have the treasure goblin pet! I get so excited when I spot them on D3 so having my own would be amazing.

The next pets I have my eyes on drop from the rares on the Timeless Isle, so alot of camping and praying seems to be in store for me.

I'm up to the 'Fisher' theme!

Blue Overalls
Yellow Lumberjack Shirt
Fishing Pole

I had to get the blue overalls, this item was an absolute must, but I couldn't decide which colour lumber jack shirt to get at first, but seeing as my tailor can only make the yellow one, my decision was made pretty fast ;) I also opted for the basic fishing pole, I just felt the fancy themed ones didn't look right with the plain and simple clothes I had picked.

I firstly want to apologise for just disappearing all of a sudden, but about 2 days after my last post, my boyfriend and I finally found a place of our own to move in together. It's been an exciting yet stressful time, especially since we wanted to be in before Christmas, but we are finally starting to feel settled in our new little nest. Since then I haven't blogged or played WoW but I am hoping that will change in the next week.

Watch this space! :D So pleased to be back and must make up for lost pet collecting time!

For this transmog I used the following items:

Brocade Vest
Crimson Silk Pantaloons
Rifle Commander's Eyepatch

I could have bought a red, black or white crop top that you usually see the NPC pirates wearing, but saw this on the auction house and thought the colours were well matched for any aspiring pirate wolf. I spent a total of 43g and managed to pick up the eyepatch as a quest reward from the Stockades. My macaw pet also adds to my pirate theme :D

The next theme is 'Fisher'

I started playing WoW back in 2005, and things were very different in those days! I was recommended the game by a friend from another game, Phantasy Star Online (gamecube version!) and he played on the Horde side, so naturally I started there.

I started life as an undead rogue, then quickly switched to an undead warlock. I really wasn't comfortable with the characters I had picked, and after a couple of weeks, asked my friend how I would become 'the one from the front of the WoW box' aka a Night Elf.

He explained that we wouldn't be able to play together, so initially my Nelf was supposed to be an alt, but eventually I ended up playing her more and my friend also quit playing. I made a Night Elf Hunter, Kaitlyn, and had my trusty pet tiger, Fluffling, by my side. I didn't raid in original WoW, our guild ran a lot of dungeons, most of which Fluffling would tank, and back in those days, I was very fond of using my melee weapon and Raptor Strike, so embarrassing looking back! I was growing tired of my hunter after a while, as you do, and that's when my Priest was made.

I have had a Priest character since vanilla, she was officially my 4th character, but really my 2nd main character. Basically our guild needed a healer, and combined with my interest in hunters fading, I thought I'd give it a go. Levelling up was extremely slow and very very difficult, since I was holy the whole time, and considering what spells and talents were available back then, any sort of DPS in holy spec didn't exist. Smite, smite, smite, smite, smite, smite, smite, smite, smite and pray that its dead and then drink after every monster to replenish mana. It was a very slow process, but I did manage it in the end! Ding 60!

My main memory from playing my Priest at level 60 was definitely the day my friend Ryyu got me a spot in another guilds Molten Core run to get me started with obtaining my very own Benediction, the weapon that every priest wanted so so badly. Our guild at the time only did the 5man dungeons pretty much on repeat, and we would join UBRS 15 man pugs if they were going. Oh the memories of 15man UBRS's...hell springs to mind.

When Burning Crusade hit, I did continue with my priest, but by then, the allure of possibly changing to a Horde character had sunk in, not helped by friends on that side asking me to join them also. At the time, faction changes didn't exist, so I had to purchase a second copy of original WoW and burning crusade in order to level on the same server, but on the opposite side. Nevertheless, I did it, but not as a Priest, but as a Blood Elf Rogue, revisiting the first class I played. Of course I had withdrawal from my Priest so naturally I made another one, my Blood Elf, Kaitz and I faced another 1-70 grind as holy. At the end of Burning Crusade, I had again switched back to my Alliance priest, and by this time my boyfriend had seen me play the game for a while and decided to join me and get an account of his own. After raiding SSC, MH and a little of Black Temple we were pretty confident that this was where we would be for the remaining part of the expansion and life was good. However, another switch happened sooner rather than later when we went on holiday and came back to discover our guild had disbanded.

My boyfriend and I made a new start when Wrath of the Lich King came out, well I had my priest at level 70, but he joined me on the horde side as a Deathknight. I stayed Horde right through Wrath, Cataclysm and until I made my current main, Severiti, half way through Mists, switching sides once more. Sadly horde Kaitz still sits benched, waiting for that day that I will no doubt switch sides.. again.

The changes in all classes is staggering when you think back to what was available to us in the original game, but I think Priests have had a nice gradual progression, and I love the variety of things that can be done with them now. The whole Holy vs Discipline argument has always cropped up, especially when I have the idea that Holy was and always will be the ONLY spec to go, but each to their own right? ;D ha ha!

When I recently
switched to the Alliance, I managed to resurrect my original character,
formally known as Kaitie, to be transferred to Ghostlands and become
part of my WoW game once more. This is my current transmog, thanks to the Black Market Auction House and its ability to give players the chance on tier 3. Of course I use Benediction also, can't imagine a time when I won't use it for transmog to be honest :)

and that's my WoW history!

What about you guys? If you have written about it already, send me a link to your blog, its always fascinating to see where people started and where they are today.
Blizzard said they didn't want to lose the original feel, but just wanted them to look better in the process and to refine them where necessary. People have been really impatient with these, and this years Blizzcon has finally given us a glimpse into some of the races they have updated and they were well worth the wait!

The Warlords of Draenor panel gave us the first look, and featured the male dwarf, male orc and male gnome. We had seen the orc through the Garrosh model in SoO, so that wasn't a huge surprise but the dwarves and gnomes are so so good! I never really thought that they were needed so much on these two races especially, but how wrong I was. It's always the before and after shots they show that really highlight how much we need these models.

I continued on to watch the Art of World of Warcraft panel and they featured so many more, I was so pleased they had more to show than just the three on the WoD panel.

New undead model - some of the face options

Oh.. my...god! It's incredible. I always hated the look of undeads bones sticking out, especially the elbows and the strange spines. Now they look so bad ass and rightly so they are meant to look like undead people. Unfortunately they didn't show the female undead, but we'll just have to be patient, they will no doubt look great too.

and after!

I have never played a gnome female and to be honest probably never will, just never felt the need to play as one, but I 100% agree with the update of the gnome females, the eyes being bigger gives them that cute 'I wouldn't hurt a fly' vibe, when really they give as good as any!

Dwarf male:

Love the detail to the dwarf males, especially the beard decorations! The fact they have body hair also, you would expect them to have it, but it wasn't there on the old models, nice detail indeed.

Dwarf female:

I am so so blown away with the dwarf female, just WOW! I love it and I am definately going to make one when WoD hits. I can sense a significant rise in dwarf female players from then on for sure.

Orc male:

Great to see this model on an orc who isn't Garrosh. Can't wait to see the Orc females!

Tauren male:

before...

and after.

I can't get used to this new model, I have to be honest. I like how fluffy/hairy it looks compared to before, but the face just doesn't look right to me personally, can't pin point what it is but I'm not keen. Maybes I'm just too used to the original look.

Overall a magnificent job on the models that have been shown so far. The fact that they have teeth and tongues to help with the facial expressions is brilliant and of course the models have proper fingers, toes and proper finger and toe nails! That was one of the things that bugged me alot on the old models, especially the humans, so I'm excited to see those when they get them ready.
I'm going to do a series of posts on the up and coming news that personally grabbed my attention, I'm sure your all aware of them, but I really want to highlight these.

It's absolutely mind blowing how much stuff they packed in to show us, and I'm mega excited for the next expansion, it couldn't come quick enough in my opinion!

So where to start? Warlords of Draenor anyone!?! I was thinking about what they could actually do as a new idea to ride with the next expansion and personally couldn't think of anything, but thankfully blizzard have and there is a lot of awesome stuff incoming.

Draenor Continent:

As to be expected a new continent will be available, Draenor, home to the Draenei and the old Orc clans and a few other lesser clans including the Ogres and Arrakoa. Its great that the Ogres and Arrakoa are still there, and we'll be able to see where they started out and compare to how they are currently on Outland. Chris Metzen began with setting the scene of the expansion starting story, set right after Siege of Orgrimmar, when Garrosh is taken away and kept in chains awaiting trial, he escapes of course! Chris continued to explain that Garrosh has a 'new friend' who can bend time and enables him to go back to the old days of Draenor, to change the way things are in the present with concerns to the Horde and how its presently set up with 'lesser races' according to Garrosh.

We were told that Shadowmoon Valley will be the new Alliance city hub, we are actually going to be in Karabor aka Black Temple. I'm really excited about this, especially since we know how wrecked and horrific it will turn out to be in real time. The Horde will be located in Frostfire Ridge, and be up there with the Frostwolf clan and follow that story with the struggle between them and the Ogre clan. I will have to play both Horde and Alliance for sure in the next expansion, they both sound too good to miss out on.

During the Warlords of Draenor panel, they showed some concept art for the zones Frostfire Ridge, Shadowmoon Valley, Gorgrond and Talador. There is also concept art for Spires of Arrak, Tanaan Jungle and Nagrand out there on the web, so I'll post those also.

You think of Outland Shadowmoon Valley as being that hell pit in the south east which is very dark and green, but Draenor Shadowmoon Valley is very very different. There are trees for gods sake! Actual living trees and grass. It looks so beautiful, and the designers explained that they loved the concept art showing it being night time, that the zone will permanently be set at night. So pleased the Alliance got this zone!

Frostfire Ridge looks amazing too, and very 'Horde' like, if you get what I mean, a brutal and harsh looking environment compared to Shadowmoon.I love the mix of snow with active volcanoes and the jagged scenery, including a MEGA sized skeleton of a Gronn I'm assuming. Looking so cool. The Horde with the Frostwolf clan essentially need to kick out the Ogres of the Thunderlord Clan, from Bladespire Fortress so that can become the Horde capital city.

Gorgrond looks very interesting. It's desert looking and has these steam vents all over, that play a massive part with the Blackrock clan and the foundries they have there for building war machines.

Talador is the area that Shattrath and Auchidoun currently is in real time Outland. It was explained that Auchidoun is what Valhalla is in Norse Mythology, which completely matches with all the quests there from TBC with the Draenei spirits and we'll get to see it since its one of the dungeons. Shattrath was shown in the concept art shown below, looking amazing and it was noted that the river next to it was the Zangar Sea, hence where Zangarmarsh comes into it for Outland.

I loved the zones look on Outland, so Draenor is not coming up short in the slightest.

If all of that wasn't enough, Cory Stockton then went on to show us a sneak peek of the new character models, showing Male Dwarf, Male Orc and Male Gnome. It's embarassing to see the new models up against the old when you see them for the first time side by side. I'm going to cover the new models in another post, as the art panel shows more of them and goes into a lot more depth.

Other great news included;

Concept art of some of the monsters around WoD
Upcoming dungeons and raids; 4 dungeons will be used for levelling up, 3 are exclusive to max level characters and they are introducing heroic UBRS! This fits perfectly with the fact the Blackrock clan are involved again in the story - Love this!
The Garrison base feature: Can't wait for this, all the upgrades you can do to actually boost your character too. Good stuff.
The new collections tab: This is to include heirlooms and vanity items much like the pet and mount tab where they are all in one place and account wide. This also may include tabards, this would be a great feature, they take up so much room!
New ways to sort your bags: To specifically have and item, for example, herbs go in a certain bag etc. Quest items no longer sit in your bags, they are access able via the quest log - FINALLY!
Crafting directly from the bank: Won't have to mail items between characters and they are increasing the stack size for items. Yippee!
Adventure Guide: Helps the player by showing whats available for that character, whether its what raids are suitable for your ilvl, if a new patch has come out it highlights whats new and where you can go to experience the new content. A really nice touch in my opinion, I would say I'm a veteran WoW player, but sometimes I sit and wonder about what to do next.

I really want to explore some of these new features in a post of their own, this post is absolutely huge already so stay tuned for more Blizzcon recaps coming soon.
I thought they would only release this pet on the day of Blizzcon actually starting, but tonight I added Murkalot to my pet collection.

I know hes dressed as a Crusader from the next Diablo expansion, but I HAD to name my little murloc, Jondar. I absolutely love the voice actor for the Templar in Diablo 3, and this is my tribute to him.

He has some amazing animations, some which I've been able to capture, he's kinda fast when he decides to do it, he goes for it!

Well November is National Novel Writing Month, usually known as NaNoWriMo and the writing target is 50,000 words. Angelya, over at Revive & Rejuvenate, wanted to celebrate this but not through writing, but via WoW screenshots. Thankfully its not 50,000, its 50 screenshots to be posted in the 30 days in November.

IntPiPoMo has ran for a few years and I distinctly remember Jojo from over at Admiring Azeroth taking part in this event. This year she is running the show and I jumped at the chance to take part in a great community event.

Head on over to Admiring Azeroth and comment on the IntPiPoMo post to register for being involved this month!

Now I need to go through my many MANY screenshots and get some great shots put together.

Look at his crazy 'danse' moves! ;D

You get the Macabre Marionette by visiting a graveyard of your respective race, so for me the Worgen one was bundled in with the Night Elves in Darnassus, Gnomes and Dwarves in Dun Morogh, Draenei on Azuremyst Isle and Humans in Stormwind. For the Horde side, the Blood Elf is just outside Silvermoon, Undeads in the Ruins of Lordaeron, Taurens, Goblins, Orcs and Trolls in Durotar. Chapman is the vendor your looking for and you buy a Orange Marigold from him to enable the spirit for the quest to be seen. You will want to pick up the cooking recipe also to make the Bread of the Dead item required for the quest.

The spirit requires you to make him/her a Bread of the Dead, which takes 1 simple flour and 1 ice cold milk to make. Not difficult at all and requires you to have just 1 cooking skill and to just cook it over the ghostly fire near Chapman, and thats it! The Macabre Marionette is yours. I was disapointed to see he is green quality, so in need of a stone to upgrade him.

There's some great detail to the background 'props' to this event, I especially liked these skulls and all the spirits dancing and don't forget to pick up your own Skull Mask from Chapman too!
Happy Halloween everyone!

I know I'm a day late but I was out last night and didn't have chance to post, sorry!

Sadly us brits don't celebrate Halloween very well. Every year I make some lovely treats in the form of cupcakes and my infamous ghost shaped meringues (sort of forgot to take a picture before we ate those, sorry!)

My mum also found some halloween themed pasta which was amazing, little pumpkins, bats and spiders with a nice spicy sauce. Yum!

This year I have managed to carve some Nightmare before Christmas themed pumpkins too which was alot of fun. I carved Oogie Boogie and my bf carved Jack. Halloween continues until Saturday night for us also, when we venture out to a party, so it feels great to be celebrating for more than one day like we usually do. No doubt I will post pictures of my costume on Twitter so watch out for that.

In game, there's not much new going on with Hallows End, I did manage to get my Sinister Squashling to level 25 though! I wasn't lucky enough, again, with the Headless Horseman's mount, was really hoping this would be my year. Theres always next year.. or the year after that..right?

I have taken some screenshots from around Azeroth of some of the better placed Hallow's End decorations that amuse me each year. Enjoy!
I'm a little late to the party, well very late.. but better late than never right?

I saw on a few of my favourite blogs that they were taking part in a transmog challenge set up by Batinna. Firstly *yay* a new blog to add to my roll, but secondly what a fantastic list of transmog ideas shes put together! I can't wait to get stuck into these, but I will stick to the order and start with....

Poor: Having little money and/or few possessions

What a sad wolf she is! Not in her lovely matching plate anymore :< I actually ended up going for cloth items, since the leather, mail and plate choices were quite brightly coloured compared, and I wanted something which was plain and also with a worn look to it.

I set myself a budget for this outfit for a maximum of 30g, and managed to come in at 26g and 45s. It only consists of two pieces, couldn't believe some of the prices of the items, but I guess the rise of transmog is to be thanked for this.

The items I used are:

Disciple's Vest of Intellect
Spellbinder Pants

The next dress up challenge is Pirate, will have LOTS of fun with this :D

When the Darkmoon Faire was in town last week, I really wasn't able to get online alot, but when I could, I managed to kill Moonfang a fair few times in the hope that she would drop Moon Moon. After no luck, I was only able to grab the pelt quest item and the wolf mask item.

In the end, I gave in and immediately went to my auction house to find one up for 6k, which is pretty cheap from what I've seen on other servers. I was sad that I couldn't get my very own to drop, but I am now the proud owner of Moon Moon and I don't have to worry about having to get online to try and get it anymore.

I even managed to capture Moon Moon's sparkly jump animation, very cute indeed!

I've been struggling A LOT on this, due to alot of bad luck with missing attacks but also realising that I have a lot of certain pet families levelled, but not so much in Mechanical and Magic, which were of course the ones I needed to help me defeat all the opponents.

I took a week to just grind pet dailies and speed level pets that I thought would be useful in completing my goal. I have discovered so many useful moves from pets I would never have gone to use, for example, the Crimson Geode pet has an amazing variety of skills from 3 different families, including a move to increase damage to the current pet by 50% for 2 rounds, perfect for boosting another pet after that one has perished. Ended up using it in my line up against Chi-Chi, alongside my oily slime, Slick and my Soul Trader, Montgomery.

Once I completed the Celestial Tournament, I went to hand in my quest for my Celestial Token. After handing that in, I immediately get a quest to get 2 more tokens to be able to get a pet straight away! I had no idea this happened, was a very unexpected and lovely surprise!

I picked Chi-Chi first, for his unique looks, and will probably go for Zao next. All 4 are very cute, looking forward to owning all of then very soon :)

When it first started up, I loved the animation of the deck box and was frantically clicking to start the game. I was extremely sad to hear the news when it was announced that the TCG game was coming to an end, not that I collected them, but because I loved the artwork on each card, and thankfully I now have a resource where I can appreciate it again!

Gameplay wise its pretty easy really, mainly because theres hints and tips floating around everywhere! However, each game is different, as cards come out at different times, its not guaranteed that on the third turn you will get card A, so I like the mix up of things your able to do on the spot.

I wasn't totally happy on the Dwarf voiceover between matches, it felt a bit too cartoony, so I'm hoping I do get over that aspect. I do love the battle talk between characters when your playing though, Jaina is one fierce lady! She was having none of it, especially when Hemet Nessingwary called her pretty!

I have only just managed to defeat Illidan, and practice mode has been opened up to me to defeat other classes and gain some exp. So will hopefully make some more progress on it soon. So far though, its a big thumbs up from me! :D
Wahoo! I've heard only good things about it, so was hoping I would get an invite, but never thought I actually would.

Also been trying to think of a post I can use the following screenies in, so I think Blizzard must have read my mind and realised I NEEDED a code. Not sure how long these NPCs have been in the game, but only noticed them yesterday whilst running around in Shrine.

Just installing now, so will post my findings very soon!

Whilst scooting around the Isle in the search for rares, I saw a familiar symbol on my map that there was an event occurring, but had never witnessed it in this location.

I immediately investigate to discover an NPC called Whizzig mounted upon a large snail! TOTALLY want a snail mount now, but this is nothing compared to what he sells! I knew they had implemented some accessories for Perky Pug, but never really enquired or read anything about where and how you get them, but finally I know he answer and it lies with Whizzig.

Thankfully the accessories don't cost too many coins, I mean really they could have charged 5000 coins and I'd have still bought them, but I like 500 a lot more. It's nice to see that you can get the Magical Pet Biscuits here too, should I ever run out I know I can get some from Whizzig. There is also a pattern for scribes to get, Glyph of Shifted Appearances.

Now to the main feature... BEHOLD THE CUTENESS!

So amazing! I really hope they introduce these for other pets very very soon! My favourite has to be the pirate hat, and to honor Perky's newly found pirate status, we went on an adventure to kill Dread Ship Vazuvius!

Yaaarrrg!

Whizzig wasn't around for very long, so if you do happen to be lucky and find him, make sure to rush over and see him before he disappears and stock up on hats for Perky!
Very similar feel to the Isle of Quel'danas and Isle of Thunder in my opinion, where you will go there on a daily basis, have a new faction to grind rep for, and lets not forget the pets and rare monsters too!

I quickly made my way to the Isle, and instantly was met with /1 spam of a rare monster spawn which very recently would happen alot on the Isle of Thunder when that first was introduced. I loved that people weren't greedy and will share the information so everyone can join in on some of the action. They drop lovely things too! I got 1700 coins, some lesser charms, an item to summon insert name here and also a BOA ilvl 496 token to make an item for a plate wearer. Perfect for any alts!

I headed on over the the main part, the court, where all 4 celestials are. Didn't realise we would have to fight them until I saw a huge mass of people running into the centre! I joined them of course, and got myself an achievement for doing so, happy days! :D

After completing a few quests, gaining a nice pot of Timeless Coins, and racing to the rare mobs when they spawn, I noticed there was a daily quest from an NPC named Little Tommy Newcomer. Now I was already suspicious, due to the fact his pets weren't hovering or moving around beside him like the other daily pet trainers have, but nothing could have prepared me for what pet he had!

WHAT! This pet is insane. It even has Frill Blast as one of its moves. Absolutely mental. Thankfully I had a good few bandages stocked up and after approx 15 tries, I got him down using Mini Thor, Lil Deathwing and Rusty my Anodised Bear.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Celestial Tournament scenario, which is even harder than this. I will beat it one day but for now I'm back to furiously levelling pets in the hope I can get that break and complete it.

I have managed to add two new pets to my collection though! Bonkers a boxing monkey pet which you get from buying keys for 500 timeless coins each from Master Kukuru who is located at 59,40 in a cave. You then get a choice of random treasure chests to open, 1 per key of course. You aren't guaranteed the pet, you can get other items in the chests including; a random number of Timeless Coins, I had 1 coin in a good few boxes which was really dissapointing! Good luck to those trying!

I also got the Azure Crane Chick, which you get from the crane nests scattered around the island.

There are a few things I haven't gotten around to yet, but hopefully will get some time this next week to explore some more \o/

This post is just an introduction of what I encountered within the first hour of logging in and it was jam packed with new info to take in, even before I set foot on the Timeless Isle.

The Vale of Eternal Destruction!

We all knew that the Vale of Eternal Blossoms was in for a huge change, when they released the 5.4 trailer, we knew that everything just wouldn't be the same and WOW what a change!

Garrosh is in for a beating for causing this destruction. It's quite creepy to see loads of little Sha beasties roaming around. The only plus side I see from this is that I can access the mining veins easier due to there being no water and less crocodiles! Due to the changes a couple of things have moved around the map, one of the rare mobs, Sahin Tidehunter is now near the Mogu'shan Palace meeting stone and Grand Master Aki the pet daily trainer is now east of Mistfall Village.

Rare monsters appear on your mini map!

I have seen this so far working in Pandaria and on the Timeless Isle also. Not sure if it is the same on other continents, will be sure to check that out though.

If you hover over them also, it tells you the name of the rare spawn. These were the Zandalari Scouts that patrol around in Townlong. Keep an eye out for these on your map, especially on the Timeless Isle.

New progress bar and information whilst digging at Archaeology sites!

I flew over Vale to spot an Archaeology site, of course I couldn't pass it, and went to gather up some fragments. I then notice that a new Digsite Progress bar pops up to help you keep track of how many more searches you can make before the site is used up. I first thought it was a little pointless as I know that each site has 6 digs per one, but new players wouldn't know this and if you have also been interrupted, for example an LFR queue popped and you had left the site incomplete, you can come back and see your progress on that particular site and pick up where you left off. Nice idea indeed :>

*** EDIT***

Here's a quick reminder of what tasks I set myself this week:

5 more pets to level 25
5 more pets upgraded

Get my hunter to level 80

Valor Capped on both my Priest and Deathknight

and the results? 100%! Wahooooo :D

5 more pets to level 25

I have surpassed my goal of 5 and ended up with 9 new level 25 pets! Really really pleased! I have especially been wanting to get my Baneling pet up to level 25, so he now joins the level 25 club.

5 more pets upgraded

For this one I stuck with my goal of 5, and not all were upgraded using Flawless stones either. I have had a little luck with looking for some wild pets that needed upgrading, to continue my quest to get all to blue quality. With finally capturing a rare Grassland Hopper from Townlong and then a Jungle Grub and Mei Li Sparkler from Krasarang, brought my total to 5. I am now complete in Townlong for upgrading to rare quality pets too! Good times!

Get my hunter to level 80

With some greatly appreciated help from a friend boosting me through the Northrend arena quests, I speeded my way from 78-80 in approx 1 hour and therefore met my goal of getting to level 80.

Valor Capped on both my Priest and Deathknight

Now this is the goal I thought I would never get, but I am very proud to say I have done it! I now have 3k valor points on my Deathknight and just over 2k on my Priest. I kinda forgot though that the patch is hitting on Sept 10th, not tomorrow, so I spent 1k on my Deathknight on upgrading a couple of pieces. I can then have next week to cap and be ready for the patch :>

Speaking of 5.4, I am giving myself a 1-2 week break from my goals, just so I can enjoy the new content at my own pace without thinking I need to do pet battles dailies or level an alt. This next week will probably be spent capping valor again, and also farming materials to try and make some much needed cash.
